Love yourself as you love another

And for all others

Compassion

This is the first commandment

Being human

Be human and let others be

Correct as a lesson

Not as punishment

Let empathy be your rule book

And humanity your teacher

Love in nature

April 30, 2019

Tired of things that last

Only awhile

Seeing isn’t believing

And memories grow dim

Love and fear inspire us to find our way

From danger to nurturing embrace

First love is seldom a thing to avoid

First broken…heart

Is mended in time

Love in nature teaches us what dangers to ignore

Offense

April 29, 2019

“I’m offended”

Is met with indifference or an attempt to understand

Understand:

Being offended should not make one an offense

But it can too often

Because of indifference

Beloved not alone

April 29, 2019

Beloved let us love one another as

Nature

Would have us so

And as it’s what we want to do

Beloved… the universe does not

Care

For you or for me

But some life might

Let us cherish life

Let us start with ourselves

Selfishness and it’s twin selflessness are not opposed nor enemies

No one is alone

Tribalism inhumanity

April 29, 2019

Are you with us or against us?

Is one of the worst things one can generally ask

Or threaten

It says…

Tribe before you

It might say join or

Go away non human!!!

Heading from measles

April 29, 2019

Respect is given

Not earned

Not

Demanded

Not

Coerced

Respect and empathy are hitched to the same wagon

Heading away from Oregon these days

Away from the covered wagon and journey to a new home

Because of the measles

Some people have little humanity

Control lost

April 29, 2019

We hate to fall in love

Falling is

Control

Lost

We love to love

To connect

Love

Lust

Is not love

Flying is what we can do together.

Love religion

April 29, 2019

Love could be a religion

A best of humanity religion

That’s what it does

Brings out our best

It’s the reason behind so many of our aspirations, triumphs and tries

It’s perfect that way

Makes us believe in us

Walls

December 7, 2018

I’m tired of these walls made out of air earth and sand, of things that change before my eyes with such indifference and with no need

I tire of the same story playing out over and again, self limiting superstitions half believed and at most half followed

I am bored with the boorish, the indifferent and the sometimes friend, humanity can fascinate itself if it but tries

Morality is mistaken for morel and ethics and conformity, good behavior is mistaken for normal and bad behavior for immoral

Our apathy is not salvation, it is chains that we ourselves have constructed, our lives should be our fulfilling not undoing

The day of salvation is not coming to us, we ourselves are each other’s savior as we are to ourselves and must be for ourselves

Empathy is our evolution as it can be our savior from the demon of indifference

empathy

January 27, 2015

is empathy our next evolution?

what defines human?

we learn from our betters, and those who impress and influence us

can we, will we redefine, ourselves?
