Musing

May 27, 2022

Like a phenix I am reborn at many beginnings

I choose to rise and fall of my own accord because my life is my own

Abhorring to be saint or sinner

I strive to fight evil and cherish good

Love one another else the soul dies

That should be the greatest commandment

Thorns

December 14, 2021

Beloved let us mind how we cherish and choose what fears to so nourish

Fear is the other side of the coin

Left to chance it’s a coin flip against infinity

Left to our direction we tenderly mind our gardens and our world blooms

Tend not fears but choose from among them the thorns you must wear as atonement

Blessed

November 14, 2021

Pound the witch drum by the bog that is home to me

Since childhood only two houses have been home for me

Love makes a family and a house a home besides

Beckon to the oncoming winter and fall rains

With gratitude for all the year has in store and has yet provided

Blessed be the grateful and the house where charity thrives

Blessed be the fruit of all thy laborers

Beloved are the generous

Their fruit is blessed for all humanity is benefited although they know least

Blessed are you who’s life is itself a blessing

Perspective

November 4, 2021

There exist many perspectives in this life

It’s not sane to impose ours on others or expect it to be shared

We don’t all want the same things

We don’t all want happiness at the expense of joy

Joy at the expense of sorrow

Or family at the expense of fulfillment

Or the other way around

Perspective

August 14, 2021

Perspective can be too much

Comparing everything to what you already know and understand can lead to nihilism

Due to patterns repeating

And people believing

They alone are right

Instead we should look to the value in ourselves and others

What we do and why it matters to us is more important to know than if it fits in with everyone else

Baptism

July 14, 2021

When the rain falls

I want it to wash over me

Like a days baptism

On the blessed rain occasions

I miss the rain with my umbrella

For when I’m with others

Or seen by others

I would seem strange

And their judgment would seem best in their own eyes

Without craving I long for nature and the sweet touch of the elements

Grateful

March 12, 2021

Give thanks for something

It will come back around to you

Gratitude tends to plant its own garden

Give thanks wholeheartedly and gratitude will infect your life

Laughter indeed is great medicine and nourishment for the soul

Blessed be the fruit of thy gardens

Musing

Begining is a fragile place

we have what we have learned

and begin anew

Something to devote lots of time

an investment of the heart

Beginnings can be any time not just in warm springtime

or desperate midwinter

Fears and tears

June 6, 2020

I love you best of all who is about your changing

Not fighting or resigned to some notion of fate or bound to some notion of faith

But are mired sometimes in the serenity that is self possession

And not mired in other’s plans or pains or expectations

But your own person! Accountable to yourself and unashamed from within or without

I love you

I am you, or very close

You are a work in progress but you are your own work

Grieve only for the ignorant, the lost, the blinder wearer, the burden bearer

Not who you used to be

Not the past or future

Not your own beliefs about yourself

In fact you should grieve as much as you can for tears can release fears and fear guards tears

Broken angle

February 19, 2020

Old friend

Just someone who shared part of your story

That I cherish you as I do myself

Is subtext

You hold a mirror to me

For the crucible of your presence

Even in memory alone

An angle dare not attempt

Broken angles gather round the saintly feast for thee
